PR 2.0 Chat TV: How to Leverage Current Events … and When That's a Bad Idea

For this week’s episode of PR 2.0 Chat TV, we discussed the recent Kenneth Cole gaffe and Groupon’s Super Bowl advertisement — both of which involved politically sensitive issues. In PR, it’s our job to help our clients stay relevant, so that often means leveraging current events or trends and topics in the news. But, we walk a fine line. Appearing opportunistic isn’t the best approach. Or, is it?
