New PR Resource Launches, Extending the #pr20chat Community

This week, we launched pr20chat.com, a hub for PR professionals and students to discuss PR and social media trends, best practices and what’s next. The site’s name stems from the weekly PR 2.0 Twitter chat (#pr20chat on Twitter), co-moderated by myself and Justin Goldsborough.

pr20chat.com, which is free to join, currently includes forums and groups that focus on B2B, B2C, measurement, analyst relations, nonprofit communication and social media. Additional content areas will be developed as the community grows. Sound interesting? Sign up today!

This is just one of many exciting community-building initiatives that we have planned for #pr20chat. The weekly Twitter conversation will continue each week (shameless plug: Tuesdays 8-9p ET); however, we’ve received a number of requests from people who can’t always join the Twitter chat, yet want to be involved in the community. Hopefully, this will provide that opportunity. Plus, we’ll be rolling out a few new tools and resources in the new year to help PR people keep up with technology’s influence on communication and the ever-evolving PR industry.

I plan to interact a lot on this new site — asking questions, sharing new content, posting articles and joining discussions. Hope you’ll join me by signing up for pr20chat.com. Also, I’d love to hear how you’d like the network to evolve. What kind of content do you want to see? What discussions would pique your interest? How can the network be a helpful tool for you?
