I LOVE this, Heather! Really great advice.

I would add "Focus on less to achieve more." I came to a point at the end of last year where I realized I was doing a poor job of balancing work-life integration. I was involved in way too many commitments outside of my agency work (which always comes first in my professional world), and it was time to refocus. I closely examined everything I was involved in and made a short list of what gave me as much value in return for the value I was providing. As I got busier at work and took on more responsibilities, I wanted to focus on less outside of work, but make sure I did a kick a** job with whatever I chose to focus on. My hope was that new strategy would ultimately lead to me feel like I was achieving more.

And it worked! I started 2012 in a much better place and finally felt like I was getting closer to achieving work-life integration. It's still a work in progress, and now everything is about to change again once these twins are born! But I definitely recommend anyone looking to achieve that balance should find out how they can achieve more by focusing on less.
