Happy Thanksgiving! We are well on our way to our first “Mr. & Mrs.” Thanksgiving … the turkey is in the oven, stuffing made and ready to be heated and homemade apple pie already baked. I have lots to be thankful this year — as do you, I’d guess. One of the things I’m thankful [...]

The other day I wrote about a mom who had taken to the blogosphere to find a kidney for her daughter. The Domestic Diva updated her blog today — and they found a donor match! The outpouring of support overwhelmed the system. I just wrote about the terrorist attacks in Mumbia and how global connectivity [...]

So, how did I learn about the terrorist attack in India? Not on television … and certainly not from a newspaper. Not even from a blog. I first heard about it on Twitter — and, boy, did word spread like wildfire.
You may not use Twitter — and that’s ok. But, please take a minute to [...]

WIth nearly 80 million blogs, you can probably find one on just about any topic. Baseball, politics, gossip … you get the point.
Today, I came across a new kind of blog — one that details a mother experiencing a tragedy. The Domestic Diva blogs about her new clothes line and her get-togethers with friends, but [...]

An elected official from Arizona will be named to Obama’s cabinet (sources say). Don’t take that team of rivals thing too far — Obama is not appointing John McCain. Instead, McCain’s homestate govenor, Janet Napolitano, will be named Secretary of Homeland Security.

I felt refreshed reading it. Seriously. You should read it.
Basically, she admits [...]

I may bemoan the fact that Christmas decorations and music are out in full force before Thanksgiving, but this is one holiday-related message that I had to pass along.
As you make your Christmas list this year, don’t just add family and friends. Take a moment to thank those who won’t have the opportunity to celebrate [...]

I attended the PRSA seminar today on how to use social media (like blogging, Twitter, Facebook, etc.) during crisis communication. It was an interesting session and if you want to learn more about the nuts and bolts of the discussion check out the Costa DeVault blog tomorrow.
In the meantime, I thought I’d write about two [...]

Have you heard about the “Motrin Mommies” controversy? They posted an ad on Saturday, causing such an uproar among Tweeters and bloggers that the ad was taken down by Sunday and the company issued a  bland apology.
The company I work for just started a blog and I happen to be doing the blogging. Every once [...]

It’s rumored that Hillary Clinton will accept the Secretary of State position. I’m torn — not sure if this is good or not. I think Hillary could be a great leader in the Senate, helping Obama pass legislation that will help this country right the ship. But, at the same time, I also believe she [...]
